Different Pointe of View Phoenix – Restaurant Review

Different Pointe of View is a restaurant in Phoenix and it is located in the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort. We didn’t stay at the resort but we went to the restaurant for dinner with Jenn’s parents. It was our treat as a thank you for some help that they had extended to us.

We wanted to go somewhere a little more upscale and nice, and this restaurant was certainly that. The views were incredible, and the collection of rooms and areas to explore was pretty great too.

My (Lucas) overall review is that we really enjoyed our time and got some great photos, but we aren’t hanging to go back. When you position yourself as a fine dining experience you need to deliver, and I was just whelmed…not underwhelmed and certainly not spoiled like I was expecting. Read on for more.

Good experience, with great views and photo ops, great wine and good food.

We enjoyed our time at Different Pointe of View and loved some of the photos we got. The wine was excellent but the service and food was just good enough. We would go back, but once was enough.

Our Take on Different Pointe of View Appetizers

To start we were pleasantly served a full basket of assorted breads and butters. Now I’m not one to ruin my dinner by filling up on a bunch of bread, but this was well worth it. The focaccia was my favourite, along with the different types of spreadable butters and dips, we polished that basket off!

Next we shared the classic crab cake which was one large crab cake, it was pretty good, there were four of us so we all had a small bite to share. We also shared the prime beef tenderloin tartare. It was good, but not my favourite tartare. The beef was cut into larger pieces so it was a bit of a meatier bite. It was served with crispy capers and Parmigiano Reggiano.
