Alberta
Mountains, prairies, and a whole lot of yeehaw โ welcome to Alberta. ๐ค ๐จ๐ฆ
Alberta is home for us, and we honestly love living here. Calgary has everything we enjoy: great food, fun neighbourhoods, lots of sunshine, and the mountains close enough for a spontaneous weekend escape.
We are always finding a new restaurant to try or planning our next drive west, and even after living here, the mountain views and wide-open skies never really get old.
Calgary is also home to the Calgary Stampede, which kicks off every year in early July and brings visitors in from all over the world. People come to take part in the rodeo, concerts, midway, pancake breakfasts, and the full western spirit that takes over the city. If you are visiting during Stampede, it is one of the best times to experience Calgary at its loudest, busiest, and most fun.

Weather in Alberta
Alberta has big seasonal swings: cold, snowy winters, warm prairie summers, and cooler mountain weather around Banff, Canmore, Jasper, and Lake Louise. These bars show approximate monthly average daily temperatures, not daytime highs. Late spring through early fall is usually best for road trips and sightseeing, while winter is prime for skiing and mountain stays.
